TURMERIC TONIC

The health benefits of turmeric are endless! They include everything from fighting inflammation to brain boosting.  More recently, I've learned that it can aid in the production of progesterone which decreases as we age.  The sweetness of this tonic will completely depend on the sweetness of the pineapple you use, so take a taste before pushing everything down the juicing tube.  Whether you pronounce it TUR-meric or TOO-meric tonic, doesn't matter because either way, I'd call it liquid gold.  

Time: 10 minutes
Servings: 4 1-ounce servings

INGREDIENTS
  • 4 ounces fresh Turmeric
  • 2 ½ cups chopped Pineapple
  • 1 Orange peeled

PREPARATION
  1. Place ingredients in juicer and process through. 
  2. Depending on your juicer, you might want to strain the liquid. 

*Turmeric stains easily, so you many want to put done a protective cover on porous surfaces. ​
