green starter smoothie

Even my green-adverse friends (children included) have slurped this smoothie down.  Once you get past the color for the first time, the taste is surprisingly refreshing and delicious.  It's a great and easy way to introduce more greens into your diet.  

Time: 5 minutes
Level: Easy
Servings: 1 8-oz cup

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 large handfuls Organic Kale leaves
  •  1 cup Organic Red Grapes
  • ½ cup fresh and ripe Pineapple chunks (can use frozen)
  • ½ Banana cut up
  • 2-3 Tablespoons Water or a few ice cubes
PREPARATION
  1. Put water and/or ice at the bottom of the blender.
  2. Put Kale leaves and then remaining ingredients in blender.
  3. Blend until everything until smooth.
  4. Adjust taste accordingly:
  • Sweeter – add more grapes or pineapples
  • Thicker – add more banana
