Ahh, the joke that this Tiger Nut flour has inspired! Tiger nuts are not nuts, but tubers. This is one of the best gluten-free flours that I have used and a favorite of mine because tiger nut + cassava in a 3:1 ratio makes a great substitute for most baked goods.
For refrigerating and freezing soups and broths, I use this anchor-lidded glassware that goes from freezer to microwave. For broths, I like to cool them in the fridge first before freezing.

Cassava Flour is another tuber-based, gluten-free flour. It is sometimes called Tapioca flour. They are both made from the delicious yuca root, but Cassava Flour uses the entire root. The flour on its own can be a bit sour, so it's best to blend with others.
If you are looking to stay away from plastic altogether, this bamboo-lidded glassware is perfect for storing leftover and for packing lunch. And be prepared--friends will ask where you got it!

I love sipping ginger tea in the winter, but I hate constantly heating and reheating the tea on the stove. I recently rediscovered the thermos. I now make a pot of ginger tea (sometimes I spice it up with cinnamon and fennel), funnel it into my thermos and sip as often as I want.
This lid-n-lock glassware is sturdy yet functional. I use it when prepping meals, storing leftovers, and also for transporting lunch. The only downfall is that it's not really stackable when not in use, but it's hardly not in use.

I think my Wood shop teacher would be mortified, but this is one of my favorite kitchen tools. It zests and grates and is easy to clean. For sauces that call for minced garlic or ginger, this is the tool I break out to finish the job quickly and effortlessly.
